About the Program

G.P Birla Scholarship 2023-24 Trust has been established to promote education, develop human resources and empower the youth of the Country. With this objective, the Trust proposes to grant Scholarships to meritorious students, male or female, from West Bengal, who have in the year 2023, passed class XII examination and have secured 85% marks or more from WBCHSE or 90% or more from ISC/CBSE and whose family income is less than Rs. 3,00,000/- per year and as such are in need of financial help to pursue further studies.

Eligibility

  • Indian citizen residing in West Bengal
  • Holds a 12th standard passing certificate with either 85% marks (state board) or 90% marks (CBSE)
  • Family’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 3 lakh
  • Eligible for pursuing courses in various fields, including:
    • Arts
    • Science
    • Medicine
    • Engineering
    • Architecture
    • Law
    • Commerce
    • Professional courses like Company Secretaryship, Cost Accountancy, and Chartered Accountancy

Benefits

  • Tuition and Hostel Fees: Rs. 50,000 per student per year
  • First-year Book Purchase: Rs. 7,000

Selection Process

  • Expert Panel, which presently includes Prof. Sumanta Basu of Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata and Dr. Rajib Das of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, will review the applications received and interview shortlisted prospective candidates.
  • The decision of the Expert Panel will be final. It is expected that financial support of GP Birla Educational Foundation will help produce future leaders of the country.

About the Program

Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship 2023-24 is awarded to students belonging to economically disadvantaged families, who wish to pursue a job-oriented Diploma course at a recognised Government Polytechnic in India. This Scholarship was established to encourage and support young students from rural and urban areas to pursue job-oriented Diplomas.This Trust awards Rs. 10,000/- per annum to 550 students annually, for a maximum period of 3 years. Till date, 11,840 students have been awarded the scholarship across India.

Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship 2023-24

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • Candidate should have passed SSC/HSC or equivalent examinations in the 10th /12th standard with more than 60% marks.
  • Candidate should have secured admission in a government or any other recognised Polytechnic Institute for diploma course.
  • Only first year candidates are eligible to apply.
  • The candidate should belong to a family with low yearly income.

Please note:

  • Preference will be given to girl students, children from lower income group families, differently abled children, and children of armed forces personnel or other Central Armed Police Forces.
  • The application form needs to be filled online and the documents requested should also be uploaded while submitting the application form.

About the Program

SOF Girl Child Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)* for the girl students studying in Classes 1 to 10. The scholarship aims to financially assist the girl child of economically weak families so that they can continue their school education. On the basis of recommendations given by the schools across India, about 300 needy girl children will be supported with INR 5,000 each per annum (one-time).

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • be a girl child
  • be studying in Classes 1 to 10
  • have secured at least 60% marks or equivalent grade in the previous class of study
  • have parents’ combined monthly income of less than INR 15,000

Benefits

  • INR 5,000 each for a full year will be given to 300 selected girl children across India.

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • be a regular student of a central/state government-recognised institution/university
  • have taken admission in an institute/university through a competitive written test
  • hold an admission offer in one of the following disciplines:
    • Graduate degree in Engineering (or equivalent disciplines)
    • Graduate degree in Medicine (Allopathic/Ayurvedic/Homeopathic)
    • MBA/PGDM
    • Architecture
    • CA (after qualifying CPT examination)
    • CFA (after qualifying Foundation test)

    • the student’s family income from all sources is not more than INR 3,50,000 per annum

About the Program
