About the Program
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of Buddy4Study India Foundation to support students with disabilities, transgender students, first-generation learners, orphans, single-parent children, and sportspersons to help them cover their educational/sports expenses and enable them to fulfill their dreams. Under this program, students who are currently studying in Class 9 to 12, graduation, or postgraduation courses; and sportspersons are eligible to apply for a scholarship of up to INR 24,000 to cover their academic/sports expenses. The students will also be informed about other relevant scholarship programs available on Buddy4Study platform.
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship 2023-24 for Orphans & Single-Parent Children
- Students who have lost either or both of their parents.
- Applicants must be studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation courses.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
- For single-parent children, the annual family income must be less than INR 6 lakh whereas for orphans, the annual income of their guardian must be less than INR 3 lakh.
- Open only for Indian citizens.
- Children/wards of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
- For Class 9 to 12 students: INR 15,000
- For Graduation students: INR 18,000
- For Postgraduation students: INR 24,000
Additional benefit: The students will also be informed about other relevant scholarship programs available for orphans & single parent children.
- Aadhaar Card
- Marksheet of previous qualifying examination
- Family income proof (ITR Form-16/income certificate from competent government authority/salary slips of parent(s))
- Passport size photograph
- Proof of current academic year admission (admission letter or bonafide letter issued by school/college)
- School/college/university fee receipt of current academic year
- Death certificate of parent(s) (as applicable)

Jyoti Prakash Scholarship 2023-24 for First-Generation Learners
- Students whose parents are non-graduates and are daily wage earners, drivers, farmers, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, security guards, etc.
- Applicants must be studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation courses.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 3 lakh.
- Open only for Indian citizens.
- Children/wards of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
- For Class 9 to 12 students: INR 15,000
- For Graduation students: INR 18,000
- For Postgraduation students: INR 24,000
Additional benefit: The students will also be informed about other relevant scholarship programs available for first-generation learners.

Jyoti Prakash Scholarship 2023-24 for Sportspersons
- Sportspersons who have represented at state, national or international level in the last 3 years.
- Applicants must be aged between 14 and 25 years as on July 31, 2023.
- Applicants must be involved in sports such as athletics, badminton, chess, cricket, golf, hockey, table tennis, kabaddi, football, volleyball, tennis, boxing, archery, shooting, etc.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 6 lakh.
- Open only for Indian citizens.
- Children of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Scholarships ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 24,000
Additional benefit: The students will also be informed about other relevant scholarship programs available for sportspersons.

- Applicants must be studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation courses.

- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 6 lakh.
