National Overseas Scholarship for ST Students 2023-24. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, invites online applications for the National. Overseas Scholarship Scheme (NOS) from ST candidates for the selection year 2023-24. About the Program

NSP Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities 2023-24 is an initiative for the Class 11 to Ph.D. students of minority communities. The scholarship is being offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The scholarship will be awarded for studies in India in a Government or private school including residential Government institutes and eligible private institutes that have been selected and notified by the respective State Government and Union Territory administration in a transparent manner. The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses. The selected candidates will receive admission/tuition fees and maintenance allowance.

NSP Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2023-24

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • belong to the minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian/Parsi)
  • be studying in Class 11,12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil. or Ph.D. degree
  • Have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination
  • Have an annual family income of less than INR 2.5 lakh from all the sources

Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the scholarship in the following way – 

Rate of Scholarship Admission and Tuition Fee – 

  • Admission and tuition fee Class 11 and 12 – INR 7,000 per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller & Day Scholar)
  • Admission and course/tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of 11 and 12 level (Courses of one or more years of duration) – INR 10,000 per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller & Day Scholar)
  • Admission and tuition fee for UG & PG level INR 3,000 per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller & Day Scholar)

Maintenance Allowance – 

  • For Class 11 and 12 including Tech. & Voc. Course* – INR 380 per month for Hosteller & INR 230 per month for Day Scholar
  • For Courses other than Tech. & Prof. courses at UG & PG level* – INR 570 per month for Hosteller & INR 300 per month for Day Scholar
  • For M.Phil & Ph.D.* – INR 1,200 per month for Hosteller & INR 550 per month for Day Scholar

*Note – For 10 months in an academic year.

About the Program

SSP Scholarship is floated by the Karnataka government that has two segments, SSP pre matric scholarship 2023-24 and SSP post matric scholarship 2023-24. These are means-based schemes that are meant to provide financial assistance to students who are stuck within monetary constraints. The SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2023-24 will enable students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories to receive monetary benefits to pursue their post-secondary education.

The objective of SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2023-24 is to strengthen the education of students of the state and ensure a high literacy rate. The SSP scholarship program includes assistance to the primary, secondary and vocational levels of education, generating more efficiency among the youth.

How to apply for the SSP Post Matric scholarship 2023-24?

The application for the SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2023-24 is available online on the official website. The applicants must be ready with the following documents before applying for the scholarship:

  1. Marksheet of the course pursuing
  2. Bonafide certificate
  3. Fee receipt of the tuition fees
  4. Certificate of the hostel accommodation
  5. Parents’ income certificate
  6. Caste/EWS Certificate
  7. AADHAR card of applicant and parents

The first step of the application process is registration in order to create an account on the portal of SSP scholarship.

  1. Visit the official website to register yourself and create an account.
  2. Insert all the information pertaining to your AADHAR card and your contact number.
  3. You will have to verify your identification with the OTP you receive on your mobile number.
  4. Create an account filling all the basic details.

After the registration process, you will need to login to the SSP portal and apply for the scholarship in the following ways:

About the Program

The Government of Karnataka has initiated the SSP Pre Matric Scholarship 2023-24 to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students in Class 9 & 10. The scholarship aims to support these students by directly transferring the scholarship amount to their bank accounts.

Students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) are eligible for the SSP Pre Matric Scholarship. Eligible students can apply for this scholarship by enrolling on the State Scholarship Portal. It is maintained by the Karnataka government. Students can submit applications for pre-matriculated scholarships via the official website – bcwd.karnataka.gov.in.

SSP Pre Matric Scholarship 2023-24

Eligibility

  • Candidates should belong to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC).
  • Candidates should be pursuing studies from Class 9 & Class 10.
  • The family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 1 lakh per annum.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their last qualifying examination. Class 1 students are excluded from meeting these eligibility criteria to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • The parents of the candidates who are not in regular jobs and are unable to provide basic requirements like education to their children are eligible for the scholarship.
  • The candidate should be a domicile in Karnataka.

Application Process

  • Interested candidates need to visit the official website of the SSP Pre Matric scholarship 
  • They need to create an account to proceed further with the registration process and select ‘Pre-Matric’ options on the homepage.
  • Candidates need to enter their SATS ID and click on the ‘Get Data’ tab.
  • Candidates need to check the data displayed on the screen and then click yes to move forward if the entire data is correct.
  • Next candidates need to enter a mobile number to generate an OTP.
  • Using the OTP candidates need to put the password according to the guidelines and click on the submit button.
  • User id and password will be generated for each candidate once the OTP is verified.
  • Generated ID and password will be shared with all the candidates on their registered mobile numbers.

How to create an account on SSP Scholarship Portal 2023-24?

  • Interested candidates need to visit the official website of the State Scholarship Portal (SSP)
  • Next, they need to choose Pre Matric Scholarship by clicking on the required link.
  • Then, they need to click on the ‘Create Account’ tab.
  • Candidates need to select yes if they have their Aadhaar number.
  • Next, they need to enter the details related to Aadhaar and click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
  • Candidates need to enter their mobile number and email id.
  • Then an OTP will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number.
  • Next, the candidates need to fill in their basic information like nationality, caste and other details.
  • After filling up all the information and saving it, the account will be created.

  • Candidates need to use their generated id and password to login into the SSP Pre Matric Scholarship portal.
  • Under the students’ login page candidates need to provide basic information like Aadhar details, caste certificate, income certificate, NSP ID and all other mandatory personal details.
  • Next, they need to click on the ‘Save and Proceed’ button.

About the Program

NSP Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities) 2023-24 is an initiative for minority community students who are pursuing technical or professional courses at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. The scholarship is being offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA), Government of India. The scholarship aims at providing suitable financial assistance to meritorious and underprivileged students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue technical and professional courses. The selected candidates will receive course fees and maintenance allowance.

NSP Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities  2023-24

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • belong to Minority communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain, and Parsis/Zoroastrians)
  • be pursuing a technical or professional course at the undergraduate or postgraduate level from a recognized institution
  • have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination
  • have an annual family income of less than INR 2.50 lakhs from all sources

Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the following benefits –

  • Tuition fee for Class 9 to 10 (Both Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 350 per month
  • Maintenance allowance for 10 months in an academic year (Day Scholars): INR 100 per month for Class 1 to 5
  • Maintenance allowance for 10 months in an academic year (Both Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 600 per month for Hostellers and INR 100 per month for Day Scholars
