About the Program
PM YASASVI Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) for OBC, EBC and DNT category students who are studying in Classes 9 and 11 in a top school recognised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The aim of this scheme is to provide an inclusive society wherein members of the target groups can lead productive, safe and dignified lives with adequate support for their growth and development. A total of 30,000 selected candidates will receive financial assistance ranging from INR 75,000 to INR 1,25,000 per annum.
PM YASASVI Scholarship 2023-24
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must-
- be an Indian citizen
- belong to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC) and De-Notified Tribes category
- be a Class 9 student born between 1st April 2007 and 31st March 2011 (both days inclusive)
- be a Class 11 student born between 1st April 2005 and 31st March 2009 (both days inclusive)
- be studying in Classes 9 or 11 in a top school recognised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
- have passed Classes 8 and 10 in 2022-23
- have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000
Benefits
The selected students will receive annual benefits in the following sequence –
- Selected students of Class 9/10 will receive up to INR 75,000.
- Selected students of Class 11/12 will receive up to INR 1,25,000
Note – The scholarship award follows the policy set by the State Government or Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. NTA is not involved in the scholarship selection process.
Documents
The following documents are required:
- A valid Government ID proof
- Aadhaar card/UID number (compulsory)
- Educational/qualification details
- Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10KB –200 KB) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background
- Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 KB–30 KB)
- Scanned copies of the following: (size 50 KB to 300 KB)
- category certificate
- income certificate
- Aadhaar card
- PwD certificate, if applicable
Note:
- All the documents uploaded must be in PDF format and in a prescribed format.
- A student is required to provide their Aadhar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication as proof of identification to benefit from the scheme.
- A student child without an Aadhaar Number must apply for Aadhaar enrollment with parental consent, if eligible to obtain Aadhar to avail the benefits of the scheme.
