About the Program

Danish Scholarship 2022-2023 for students who have taken admission to 1st year for Academic Year 2022-2023 in following Professional Courses – BE/B.Tech, B.Arch, MBBS, BUMS, BAMS, BHMS, B.V.Sc, BSc Agriculture, B.Sc Forestry, B.Pharma, Pharma D, BSc Nursing, BDS (Dental) & BPT (Physiotherapy) on merit basis through NEET 2022 & K-CET 2022 Counselling only.

For students who have taken admission to 1st year for Academic Year 2022-2023 in Law Courses (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB & LLM), Journalism Courses – BA (Journalism), MA / MS (Journalism / Mass Communication), Education Courses (BA B.Ed / BSc B.Ed / B.Ed).

For Financial Year 2022-2023, Rs. 1 Crore 10 lakhs have been earmarked to support 300+ students who will be selected across Karnataka for the Danish Scholarship based on merit & financial background of the student.

Who Can Apply?

Students who have taken admission to 1st year for academic year 2022-2023 in following Professional Courses – BE/B.Tech, B.Arch, MBBS, BUMS, BAMS, BHMS, B.V.Sc, BSc Agriculture, B.Sc Forestry, B.Pharma, Pharma D, BSc Nursing, BDS (Dental) & BPT (Physiotherapy) on merit basis through NEET 2022 & K-CET 2022 Counselling only.

Students who have taken admission to 1st year for academic year 2022-2023 in Law Courses (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB & LLM), Journalism Courses – BA (Journalism) MA / MS (Journalism / Mass Communication) & Education Courses ( BA B.Ed / BSc B.Ed / B.Ed).

Eligibility

  • For MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS – NEET 2022 All India Medical rank within 5 Lakhs.
  • For B.V.Sc – KCET 2022 Veterinary Rank within 50,000.
  • For BE / B.Tech – KCET 2022 Engineering rank within 50,000.
  • For B.Pharma / Pharma D – KCET 2022 Pharmacy rank within 50,000.
  • For B.Sc Nursing & BPT (Physiotherapy) – Admission through KEA 2022 Only.
  • For Law & Journalism Courses – Minimum 75% in previous annual exam.
  • For BA B.Ed / BSc B.Ed / B.Ed – Minimum 70% in previous annual exam.
  • The annual income of parents/guardian should not be more than Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  • Student must be eligible to receive Zakat Amount.
  • Separate funds have been reserved for poor & deserving “SYED” Students.

Benefits

Danish Professional Scholarship is a One time Scholarship Only. The scholarship amount is as follows.

    1. For MBBS – Rs.35,000/-
    2. For BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPharma, Pharm D – Rs.30,000/-
    3. For B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch – Rs.25,000/-
    4. For BVSc, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Forestry – Rs.20,000/-
    5. For BSc Nursing & BPT (Physiotherapy) – Rs.20,000/-
    6. For Journalism & Law Courses – Rs.20,000/-
    7. For BA B.Ed, BSc B.Ed, B.Ed Courses – Rs.15,000/-

Note : Danish Educational Trust can increase / decrease the amount of scholarship depending on the number of applications. The Decision of Danish Educational Trust Selection Committee is Final

Verification, Selection & Grant Of Scholarship Process:

  1. Online Scholarship Applications received will be scrutinized by Danish Education Trust.
  2. Documents uploaded online will be verified with the hard copy of the documents received.
  3. Shortlisted students will be verified / interviewed via House Verification / Video Call / House Visit.
  4. Panel of Trustees will do the final selection based on merit & financial background of the student.
  5. Few of the Selected Students will be invited for the Scholarship Program in Bangalore.
  6. Rest of the Selected Students will get their Scholarship Amount via Online Transfer to their Bank Account.

About the Program

The Islamic Development Bank Scholarship (IsDB) prioritizes human capital development for sustainable social advancement, and offers scholarship programs for Muslim communities in non-Member Countries (non-MCs). This includes undergraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral studies in science and technology to boost research capabilities in Member Countries (MCs). The IsDB’s Realigned Strategy 2023 – 2025 continues to support comprehensive human capital development with capacity-building initiatives, including scholarships.

IsDB Scholarship Programme for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries 2023-24

Eligibility Requirements

  • In need of financial assistance without which study may have to stop
  • Maximum age of 24 years
  • Not an IsDB staff member or Executive Director, his/her alternate, and/or staff of any type of appointment (including temporary and consultant) of the IsDB Group nor a close relative by blood or adoption, with the term “close relative” defined as mother, father, sister, half-sister, brother, half-brother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew;
  • Completed senior secondary education (or the equivalent of approximately 12 years of education) with good grades in major science subjects
  • Provided evidence of language proficiency in the university medium of instruction as relevant. The language proficiency must be supported by a document or certificate, e.g., for English, by a recognized language certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS or by having passed the required level test conducted such as by the British Council or equivalent system in French or other languages.
  • Provided certified English or French translation of all documents in case they are initially in other languages
  • Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical examination after selection
  • Having secured admission in one of the disciplines covered under the programme at a recognized college or university in their own country is desirable;
  • Not living in a country other than his/her home country.
  • Not a beneficiary of any other scholarship at the time of application and during studies.

Benefits and Facilities

Tuition fees, payable to the universities directly
Monthly stipend commensurate with the cost of living in the country of study
Books/clothing allowance, the equivalent of three months monthly stipends, once a year
Cost of medical treatment (either at the university or local state hospital)

At present, the programme focuses on medicine, engineering, agriculture and other related fields such as dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary science, nursing, nutrition study, computer science, forestry and fishery.
