Merck India Charitable Trust  Scholarship Program 2023-24 is an initiative of Merck India that aims to support under-privileged students who are keen to pursue higher education. The scholarship program is open for students residing and studying in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Bengaluru. It offers financial assistance to Class 10 passed students until they graduate in a chosen discipline. Under this scholarship program, MICT scholars receive INR 35,000 per year (based on actual receipts of education expenses as submitted by students) to cover their various academic expenses. The long-term financial support offered by this scholarship is aimed at encouraging talented students from financially weaker families and helping them in laying a foundation for a bright and secure future. 

Merck India Charitable Scholarship Program 2023-24 has been running  since 2005. Many MICT scholars have successfully completed their education and are employed in various professional fields including Engineering, Medicine, Science, Commerce, Aviation and Nursing.

Eligibility

Students who wish to apply for GEV Memorial Merit Scholarship must fulfil the following eligibility criteria. They must:

• be an Indian citizen
• be already enrolled in any year of an LLB/LLM degree course at a recognized law institute in India, or have applied for CLAT, LSAT-India, AILET, or any other law entrance exam
• have scored a minimum of 60% in Class X and XII board exams 
• have an annual family income of not more than INR 10,00,000 from all sources
• be willing to sign-up for the scholarship fund’s annual mentorship programs to assist and nurture the next batches of GEV Merit Scholars

Medhaavi Engineering Scholarship Program 2023-24 is a CSR initiative of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) that aims to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students pursuing undergraduate engineering courses at specified 20 NITs across India and encourage them to pursue their higher studies, gain self-confidence, achieve independence and become employable. Under this scholarship, students enrolled in engineering courses (any year) at specified institutions will be provided with a one-time fixed scholarship of INR 50,000 to continue their higher education.
