CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 : The CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme aims to grant scholarships to exceptional single female students who are the sole offspring of their parents, have achieved a score of 60% or higher in the CBSE Class X Examination, and are currently pursuing their studies in Class XI and XII. This initiative is designed to acknowledge and appreciate the dedication of parents in fostering girls’ education while also offering support and motivation to academically outstanding students.

Eligibility criteria for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023

• The scholarship will be granted based on merit, determined by the CBSE Class X Examination. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
• Single female students who have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in the CBSE Class X Examination and are currently enrolled in Class XI or XII at a school affiliated with CBSE.
• The school’s tuition fees should not exceed Rs. 1,500 per month during the current academic year, with a maximum permissible increase of 10% over the next two years.
• NRI applicants affiliated with CBSE are also eligible for the scholarship, provided their school’s tuition fees do not exceed Rs. 6,000 per month.
• This scholarship is exclusively for Indian nationals.
• Students must maintain their enrollment in Class XI and XII at the same school as mentioned above.
• Applicants who have passed the CBSE Class X Examination in the year 2023 will be considered for the scholarship.

Benefits of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023

The scholarship offers a monthly award of Rs. 500 and is available for a maximum duration of two years. Payments are facilitated via ECS/NEFT.

Scholarship Duration and Renewal for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023

• Scholarship renewal for one year after successful completion of Class XI.
• Renewal contingent on advancing to the next class and achieving a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
• Previous year’s recipient of CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship required for renewal.
• Changes in course of study or school must receive prior approval from the Board for scholarship continuation.
• Good conduct and consistent attendance are essential for scholarship continuation.

Selection Process of Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023

• Must have passed Class X Examination from CBSE with 60% or higher marks.
• For Renewal:
  • Should have received CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship in the previous year.
  • Must have been a CBSE student in Class XI in the previous year.
  • Should have achieved a score of 50% or more in Class XI and advanced to Class XII.
• Should be enrolled in Class XI & XII in CBSE affiliated schools.
• Must be the sole child (girl) of her parents.
• Tuition fees should not exceed Rs. 1,500/- per month in Class X, with a possible 10% increase for Class XI & XII.
• All applications must be verified by the student’s current school.
• Unverified applications will not be considered.
